Alright. Its been 2 months and wifey has had plenty of freaking time to start blogging. However, since she has failed in her blogging duties, I've decided to take over for good. I'm secure enough in my manhood to be the only male blogger in the history family blogging. At least our blog wont have a bunch of made up crap about how great our lives are (like Shelly's blog, she keeps it real, sometimes too real). Anyway, things are cool with the family. The snow is gone and summer is almost here so I can take the shotgun out of my mouth. Claire is about to finish her first year of preschool and she's got all her numbers and letters down. She's a pretty smart girl, she's really intense. Mason on the other hand is a work in progress. He still thinks a cat says "sssssssssssss". No Mase. That's a snake. We need to stop letting him watch "Go Diego Go". Diego does a better job teaching Mason Spanish than we do teaching him English. The kid can't say the word "juice" (he pronounces it "A-UMMM") but he can sit in front of the tv and help Diego's baby condor fly higher by yelling "Mas Alto!" in perfect Spanish. Lia is doing great, she's just fat and happy. She's the smiliest baby I've ever seen. But she might have to get a helmet for 3 months since her head is still a little crooked. We aren't looking forward to that. Lia is not looking forward to it because it may interfere with her social life. When Mason was having seizures we thought he might have to wear a helmet too. I could have had my own football team. I told Annie that I'm going to put a couple Cardinals stickers on the side of Lia's helmet. Other than that, things are good. We have a couple trips planned this summer, and we just got back from Boulder, NV. Here are some pictures from the cabin and Boulder.....

This is a squirrel that lives at the cabin. Claire named him squiggles. He's pretty brave, he'll come eat out of your hands. He's tough too, Bill shot him with a BB gun and it bounced right off him. Bill is banned from the cabin for life.

Claire and Tyson have become good buddies. I'm trying to teach Mase how to golf, but since I suck, he'll probably suck too.

We spent last weekend in Boulder NV at the home of some friends of my in-laws. The entire property is pirate themed, complete with 2 huge water slides, 3 pools, 19 rooms, 25 bathrooms, basketball court, huge gym, ect. Imagine a private Disneyland, only much better. The place is beyond description. It would take about an hour to walk through the entire property. Anyway, the kids love this place but its a little scary since there are skeletons and fake pirates everywhere. Also, since there are waterfalls and swimming pools around every corner, it was a nightmare trying to keep Mason from drowning. He jumped in the pool right when we got there and I had to jump in after him. I had my iphone, wallet and keys in my pocket. The phone was ruined but Mase is good. He'll be mowing the lawn for free till he's like 18 to pay for a new phone.

These are just a bunch of random pics from our trip.

The house has an outdoor pizza oven so Mase got in on the action. If he doesn't learn a few more words soon he may have to get used to cooking pizza for a living.

These 4 pictures are kind of funny. Claire is normally a pretty brave girl, but she got a little scared of all the skeletons. There was big skeleton holding a sword at the top of the kids waterslide so she refused to go down. Finally on the last day, we forced her down. The first picture shows me yanking her out of the water. The second picture shows her panic stricken face, the third picture is Annie and I taking her up the stairs. She punched and screamed the whole way up. Finally the last pic shows a smiling Claire coming down the slide with all her cousins cheering. You see, that is some quality parenting. We knew she would love it once she came down. Our kids get way to spoiled when we go to places like this. Here's little Claire, feeling tramatized while surrounded by her cousins at a multi-million dollar private resort while gently gliding down a waterslide on her mothers lap, holding an ice cream cone. When we were four years old our dad picked us up and chucked us in the deep end of a swimming pool with no life jacket and no ability to swim. We were at a community pool in the middle of ghetto Long Beach, CA surrounded by Jose, Julio, Tyrone, Tyrell, and a bunch of 5 year old Asian gangsters. Kids have it so easy these days.

Finally! We check your blog everyday and I'm so glad you have a new post. Seriously, your kids are the best looking kids and get cuter every day. I love the picture (and comment) of Mason by the pizza oven. Kate got her helmet today and as much as we were dreading it, it's really not that bad. She doesn't seem to mind it. But then again, it has only been a few hours so we'll see. Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks!

Hey Guys,
Loved the blog. I can't believe Claire was scared of a skeleton. It looks like you guys had a great time. Your kids get cuter every day. Can't wait to see you guys. By the way... Do you seriously have a Jason Castro song on you blog? I think you've lived in Utah a little too long if you think that's good music.

Im glad to finally see an update-even if you did rip on me for keeping it "too" real. I love all those pictures from the Vegas house-the new part looks amazing. I am dying over Lia's chubby swimsuit pictures, that girl is way too cute and smiley. Poor Mason-at least he has his looks!!!
(I have to strongly disagree, Tiare, Jason Castro ROCKS!!!)

You are really funny! I enjoyed reading about your trip and laughed the entire time. Claire sounds a lot like Avery....a total wimp. Beau and I are going to borrow some of your parenting skills. Hopefully they'll work and we can get Avery to go underwater!

Sorry Scott you are not even close to the first male blogger, that honor belongs to me, please see my blog post about OPRAH. Later. PS never blog while your wife is reading what you say. She makes you write it the way she would. This is Stephen Jones by the way.
